There are a couple of ways trying to describe where you stayed while on holiday. You can compare it with how your bed and room are at your home. You can compare it with how you'd liked it to be. But when you book a room in a bugdet hotel, do you complain about the size of the room, or how it was decorated? Britain Study Hotel is in a very good location. It offers an included breakfast. The room was clean, not spotless, and the bathroom was clean. The bed was like you'd expect it to be in a budget hotel. I slept well, got out, and explored Brighton and, on the way back, had a meal and desert half a block from the hotel. Two doors down from the hotel are also a grocery store, a bank machine... but after a full day of being a tourist,I came back to my room and had another night of a good sleep. So I'd say that my stay in the hotel was satisfying.

I stayed at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised by its central location. It’s close to everything — with plenty of shops and local restaurants on Western Road, just a 12-minute walk from Brighton Train Station, and around 10 minutes to the pier. The beach is literally a stone’s throw away, which was perfect. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent with a good selection of both Full English and Continental options. My room was basic but nicely decorated, and I appreciated having a fridge. The only downsides were the thin walls and slightly creaky floorboards, which might bother light sleepers. Overall, it was great value for the price I paid, and I’d happily stay again.

Great location on the main road leading to Hove, opposite Preston Street - so great for restaurants - and a short walk from the seafront. There are many of the main retail chains eg M&S, Primark etc nearby. Whilst being on the main road there’s no traffic noise as rooms are set back behind a screening block. Fairly basic room but very clean and all you need for a night’s stay. Shower was very good. Clearly aimed at the student market but fine in off peak times. Breakfast was better than expected and included in the price- the staff kept on refilling eg the fresh fruit which was very good. Would consider staying again for an overnighter.

Price, was 1/2 the price compared to other similar locations for our dates, we were a bit worried because of this and some of the reviews. However we were really pleasantly surprised. Lovely welcome, friendly staff, clean reception area. Room on 1st floor was great, very little noise. Room was clean, well appointed, shower was best we’ve had for a long while in an hotel, better than some top hotels. Breakfast was spot on, plentiful, warm and cooked well. Rest of clientele looked similar to our demographic and no issues as some other reviews have noted. Definitely would recommend and return.

In Brighton to attend the Lib Dem Conference. The hotel was ideal for the conference, close to the Grand Hotel and the Brighton Centre, plus we could come and go as we pleased with a swipe card letting you into both the hotel and our room. Also close to some really good restaurants. Breakfast was good - nice variety of food and easy to serve yourself. I liked the request cleaning. As we were only there for a few days we didn't really need towels or bedding changing - the only thing we needed was more tea, coffee etc and that we could get from the front desk which was great.
